What’s Going On With Marc Scott?

In the past few weeks I’ve been mostly absent from the interwebs, and I wanted to take a minute to update you guys on what’s been going on.

Back in April I got engaged, my fiancée sold her house, we began looking for a new house, and started planning a July wedding. So… lots to do (in a rather short amount of time)!

A lot of time has been dedicated to preparing her house for closing and trying to find the perfect house for us to begin our family in. All of this, of course, in addition to recording voice overs, coaching and keeping up with duties at the fire hall.

We finally found a great house last week (the day we returned from WoVOCon in Vegas), put in an offer, had it accepted and had begun making all the arrangements for moving at the end of July. In fact, I was going to be moving us for two days at the end of the month, before immediately flying North for our wedding a day later!

Two days ago, the sale of my fiancée’s home fell through (for reasons beyond our control), which has, to put it mildly, caused an immense ripple effect of unfortunate events and consequences that we’ve been feverishly scrambling to sort through along with our invaluable and steadfast team of two realtors (thank you Chase Realty Inc., Brokerage) a mortgage broker (thank you CIBC) and lawyer.

There’s not a doubt in my mind that God has got us in the palm of His hand and that things are going to get sorted out to our favor and blessing. We’re just taking a little more scenic and dramatic route to getting there now, is all.

All of this to say, there’s been A LOT going on in my world in the past couple weeks, and it’s been taking up most of my time to stay on top of everything and make sure we sell a house, are able to keep the home we’ve chosen to purchase, get moved in and have a wedding… all before the end of July! My mother says I thrive on pressure… perhaps she’s correct???!!!

I haven’t forgot about you guys, and I sincerely apologize for a lack of great content, be it video, tips, blogs or otherwise. Rest assured, as things as things get sorted out and settled down, I will resume my regularly scheduled programming and I promise to get back to helping you grow your voice over businesses!

Love you guys. Thanks for your understanding and support!

PS: For those of you who may be confused because you missed the part about the engagement, here’s how it all went down during a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park April 28th, 2017. I started shooting this video, pretending like it was for her two little girls who were very sad they didn’t get to come and see Fenway Park with us. I finished the video with a surprise plot twist!
